Upland Hills School founded in September of 1971, a love-based school for children 4 to 14, and Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center, founded during the summer of 1973, a learning community that invited world teachers to the bio-region of the sweet seas, held Lakota ceremonies and demonstrated renewable energy.
